Today is the one year anniversary of my trip to California and Nevada. The trip was mainly the reason I started this blog so that I could keep friends and family updated. This idea failed miserably as I didn’t account for a power spike that would make the server look like it was on when… Continue reading California dreaming
Got on my bum at the computer and finally made a best picture gallery of the California trip. This will hopefully allow anyone who didn’t want to trawl through my crap photos the opportunity to look at the cream of the crop. I’ll take votes for favourite pictures if anyone cares to comment in the… Continue reading Lazy Butt
Don’t read the blogs about america if you can hold yourself back, because I intend to put the pictures up and then link to them to give you some visuals on what I was talking about. So if you want the enhanced multimedia version wait a couple of days, otherwise you’ll have to settle for… Continue reading WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I’m back home and knackered. Have a hint of the flu that Pauline has been battling with, but at least the server is back up. Turns out that even though the pc’s light was on to indicate it was on, it wasn’t really on.
Purely a maintenance day today, no new sites to see as I went about finishing up final chores. I did take one final cable car ride out to Lombard St early in the morning to tramp down the curviest street. It looks pretty funny on the map. Met Pauline at the Macworld expo and surfed… Continue reading Day 20 – Last full day in SF
We had a big breakfast at Dennys which lasted me the entire day. 2 pieces of french toast, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 mini sausages and 2 eggs. SHIT, didn’t seem that big when I ate it!!! 🙂 A guy and a young girl were in the booth beside us discussing a cartoon character so… Continue reading Day 19 – Museums and Monsters
Woke up to the sound of the guy in the room next door ringing the airport to confirm whether or not his flight was 8 hours long because that was what was written on his ticket. Yes, that is how thick the walls are in this hotel – hearing the people have sex the other… Continue reading Day 18 – ipod, iwalked, iate
Today was the first day of the reason we are here. Pauline got up early to get in line to attend Steve Jobs’ (lord of apple) keynote address, and because she had a combo package she had priority seating in about the 10th row. But she was ushered so quickly down the line that she… Continue reading Day 17 – Macworld conference
This is the day I think I fell in love with this city. Was up early to meet the tour bus and it appeared that we weren’t the only ones as we met a guy and a girl from Leicester who were touring the world. They had just come from New York and would be… Continue reading Day 16 – Touring the town
Let Pauline sleep in tilll 9.00 today as we hadn’t had a proper sleep in for a few days. At about 9.10 we got a phone call from Andrew the Macworld conference organiser asking where we were. Today was the day we went on the tour with the macworld people but due to the fact… Continue reading Day 14 – Golden Sunnyvale and ifinite loop
