You always feel a little bit apprehensive when you go to a party or dinner and you only know the host and a couple of other people. Depending on your mood you either cling to the people you know and look dorky when they go to the toilet, or you becoming an outgoing personality and speak to new people.

I recently went to a dinner that was that type of situation, opted for the second choice and was happily rewarded. Luckily the people there were like minded individuals who knew what “Active Directory” and Dilbert were.

We were at the Tomato Bros at Coorpooroo and had the $19.95 banquet. Although their pizza’s aren’t THE best in Brisbane, the banquet is excellent value. You get an entre of garlic pizza and a plate of dips, then 2-3 types of pasta, 2 types of salads and 3 types of pizzas.  There was way more food than what we ate, so you even get doggy bags out of it. The service was pretty good too.

So, speaking to these new people I learnt some interesting facts:

  • Diesel fuel doesn’t evaporate. (That’s why you get oily sludge around it)
  • Mr Ed was a zebra.
  • When Maggie is scanned in the opening credits in the simpsons the register says $847.63 which is the price of raising a baby for a month
  • You can buy second hand xboxes from Myer Megamart for under $200
  • Piracy is bad, mmmkay

You mean I just scanned the page I linked and didn’t read it properly? That doesn’t sound like me. 🙂

    Guess I’m a gullible suckah!

Don’t worry I fell for it too … it took the wise old man Peter to make me sceptical enough to follow it up 🙂

I hate when reality isn’t as fun as fantasy. Urban legends are so cool. 🙂
