Sorry for the pause in transmission, it’s just that I’ve been busy figuring out how to make a photo slideshow dvd on the mac and also learn how to cut and edit movies. I’m also trying to figure out how I can turn on the air conditioner over the net since it was so bloody hot over the weekend. I’m sure there is some linux program coupled with an IR transmitter that will let me do it.

I kind of feel like the friend in a new relationship that ignores you totally because they have a new partner. Well a sexy little mac can do that to you. 🙂 But don’t worry, my urge to talk crap is coming back quickly.

Did you hear that air conditioning units actually come with remotes now-a-days, meaning that if you’re hot you can actually get up from your computer, grab the remote, and press the button yourself to turn it on? Technology these days, I’m telling ya!

Come to think about it, I’m positive I saw a remote for yours! Makes you wonder why a computer program is necessary…..

yeah, but i’m thinking bigger. Imagine I’m at work or out and about and I’m going to be home in an hour. How cool would it be to ring or go on the net and tell my air conditioner to turn on, so that by the time I’m home I have a lovely crispy cold room waiting for me.

It’s all part of the “I want it now generation” Keith refers to. 🙂
