Woke up to an unfamiliar sound – so unfamiliar that even the dogs didn’t recognise it. Brisbane had a thunderstorm in the morning which is extremely rare in winter! The gasping, chapped lipped lawn was grateful for the few hours of rain, but by the time I walked across the bridge to work it was over and clearing.
