Finally got the glimpse of the feature wall I’ve been fretting over for what is essentially years. The history of this design is based on a bathroom I used when staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The moment I walked in the room I was in awe of it and wanted the look for home. I even went so far as to email the hotel to find out what type of tiles they were. I never got a response, so I’ve since had to make do using my memory and photos I took. Interestingly enough, other people also loved the bathroom and had photos on flickr which fleshed out my recollections.  Although the final choices are a bit darker than the ones in the hotel,  I’m pretty happy with the results. I had some anal phone calls about the grout colour for the big tiles and I’m really happy with the choice. The smaller tiles will have a whiter coloured grout to lift the colours. So, without further ado, here are some photos of the feature wall.
