I got an email from Fifa this morning informing me that I didn’t get a ticket in any game. The odds were pretty much against me and I’ll admit it’s a little bit of a relief not to have to deal with inflated world cup accommodation prices. Doing all the research has given me a big desire to go to Germany so I expect that given Pauline’s agreement we might still visit Europe in September maybe? Just after summer, going in to Autumn with all the leaves changing and the summer prices deminishing sounds a little more appealing. It’s sad though that we won’t get to experience what it is like to be in a city in the grips of World Cup Fever. I’ll just have to cheer the Aussie boys from here. 🙁
